The third round was a classic! (literally) Prof. X and his first class X-Men (the X is for extra, not for Xavier) vs Magneto and some of his original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
The youngsters were nervous, but the Professor was confident. His ability that allows him to use his power through his students, he knew, was going to be a game changer. Marvel Girl used her TK to push Slim Summers into the battle first. His running shot, along with Prof. X's ability rendered Quicksiver useless.
Magneto could not control his son's impulsive actions & Pietro rushed into the fray much to his chagrin. Magneto, with Unus close by held back. The Blob just lumbered froward. Quicksilver was knocked out in the second round and the Brotherhood tightened its circle.
For several rounds, the only character that could do any damage was Cyclops. Finally, Magneto had enough and decided to come out from his debris field and attack the students. "You send children to do your job, Charles," he said. He really did... and he inflicted heavy damage against Iceman & Marvel Girl. Beast & The Blob went blow for blow for a while, until Slim Summers Finally knocked out Tubbs. Angel did cursory damage to Unus. The game ended, but not before the villains got a reinforcement roll during the deployment phase and Pyro entered. The game ended with Pyro taking damage.
